Keller AODD Air-Operated Diaphragm Pumps Solid Series

Solid PTFE Pumps

When you're requirements call for nothing but the best...

Due to the excellent mechanical properties of the advanced pump housing made of PTFE, the pump is very durable and suitable for pumping abrasive liquids. On the fluid side completely closed PTFE membranes with integrated diaphragm plates prevent deposits in the pump housing to allow for efficient and trouble free operation.

Principle of Operation - Diaphragm Pump

The two diaphragms, connected via a piston rod, separate each pump side from the air chamber to the fluid chamber. The air control valve of the two air chambers is filled with compressed air alternatively to allow the piston rod to switch positive pressure from one chamber to another. The movement of the piston rod operating under pressurised air enables the diaphragm, under vacuum, to displace the void within the chamber. This happens inversely on either side of the pump, allowing the vacuum to enable the unit to prime itself for the next stroke of the diaphragm, and pump a continuous flow of product without utilising electrical means.

The solid construction of the Solid Series is ideal for dispensing tasks in the process industry and in machine and plant engineering. The solid polyethylene (PE) manufactured pumps are due to the superior abrasion resistance particularly for pumping abrasive fluids with solid particles. In particularly harsh chemicals housing and membranes are made of PTFE for use.

  • Gentle pumping
  • Self priming
  • Can work against closed valve
  • Easy installation
  • Easy to maintain
  • Dry running possible
  • ATEX Version available
  • Continuously adjustable via the air volume
  • High chemical resistance
  • Ideal for permanent load
  • Robust design

By operating with compressed air without the need for electrical components, this provides for more flexible use. For use in potentially explosive atmospheres there are ATEX variants with conductive enclosures to choose from. By combining with optional accessories such as stroke sensors, diaphragm rupture monitoring and fluid pressure relief systems, the pneumatic diaphragm pumps of the Solid Series are equipped for almost any task. The integrated and maintenance free air control system is protected from external influences by being installed inside the pump. Through the regulation of air pressure and air flow the flow rate can be adjusted continuously. Even under adverse conditions, the pumps of the Solid Series deliver reliable and consistent output.

The air operated diaphragm pumps in sizes 1/4 "to 3" cover a power range from 10 l / min to 900 l / min.
