It is easy to talk about the savings and cost advantages surrounding the new EXP range from Ingersoll Rand / ARO, but to really realise the magnitude of possible cost cutting, full figures and graphs need to be shown. To do this, Ingersoll Rand / ARO commissioned a 3rd party research institute to carry out some tests on the Ingersoll Rand / ARO pumps and some of its direct competitors.

Ingersoll Rand / ARO is the only diaphragm pump manufacturer to do such research into their products, using a 3rd party, and tested to the recognised standard of ANSI 10.6. All information collected is then verified by the Hydraulics Institute.

In addition, because no other manufacturer tests to the ANSI 10.6 standard, Ingersoll Rand / ARO had to instruct the 3rd party research institute to purchase competitor pumps and test them to ascertain operating data to compare against. The test data was also then too checked by the Hydraulics Institue.

With the validated information Ingersoll Rand / ARO again commissioned the 3rd party institute to compile some comparative software which can be downloaded for free from our website (Download Cost-Calculator) and used to make direct, informative and accurate decisions on pump comparison over a given competitor.

Ingersoll Rand / ARO diaphragm cycle rate is 25% less to produce the same amount of flow - this results in 25% more diaphragm life on comparable duties!

Wilden pumps use 27% more air on comparable flow rates - on a 24/7 duty this would equate to a saving of £566 on air consumption alone (based on industry electricity costing 7p per KW/Hr) - & THIS IS PER PUMP!!

Here we see the ARO 1½" pump cycling 25% more - but the smaller diaphragm has a longer flex life, meaning truly comparable diaphragm life on comparable flow rate requirements. 2" diaphragms have a typical flex life of 15 million cycles versus 20 million for 1½" diaphragms. Also, consider that 1½" diaphragms & pumps are almost half the cost of a 2" diaphragm or pump.
